Replace your slow turning alternator with an OVERDRIVE pulley. Increase the amperage and reduce voltage drop and headlight dimming when idling.
Serpentine pulley size is measured from top of grooves and not outer rim. Minimal V-pulley size is achieved by thickness of belt used.
